Twin sisters who've celebrated their 100th birthday have revealed the key to a long life is to "work hard and live well". Irene Crump and Phyllis Jones who live together in Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, say they have always been close. They were born 25 minutes apart on November 20th, 1916 and attended the same school and shared their first job. They celebrated their birthday with a traditional Sunday roast. Far-right candidate Norbert Hofer has lost Austria's presidential election. On Facebook, he described himself as "infinitely sad" and congratulated Alexander Van der Bellen, former head of the Greens, on his victory. Although the post is ceremonial in Austria, the poll had been seen as a sign of how well populist candidates might do elsewhere in Europe. Mr Van der Bellen called the result a vote for a "pro-European" Austria based on "freedom, equality and solidarity".

Italians are voting in a referendum which is being closely watched for further signs of anti-establishment sentiment in Europe.
The vote, called by centre-left Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, is formally on plans to streamline parliament but is expected to be used by many as a chance to register discontent.
Populist parties have campaigned for a No vote. Mr Renzi has said he will resign if he loses.
Opinion polls suggest he faces defeat.
